This was not possible. The “lite” version of the file explorer you could see on the xbox had limited access by intention. The file explorer is 1:1 the same as the Mobile file explorer and it allows you access to external drives and your user’s folder (Downloads, Pictures, Videos, “3D Objects”, Documents, etc).

It giver nor administrative privileges nor access to MainOS or Data. The values for this live in the registry and could be changed but it’s unlikely you can ever change the registry on an xbox. People have done it on the Lumia devices and it can give you C: or “This PC” access but not with administrative privileges.

Please keep in mind that Microsoft owns the Xbox OS and when you setup the console you're agree to the terms and conditions established.

One of these terms is that the software can change and Microsoft can remove or add functionalities in the future if they consider it necessary

This apply to basically all the software (apps, social networks, accounts created online, operative systems, software in the cloud, etc)

But, you can share these comments with Microsoft using the feedback hub app

Thanks for asking apart from this I am fine. I hope the same for you. So I guessed this will be the answer. I hope somehow this message finds its way to Microsoft developers and stop messing with functionality they were advertising. (The whole media console). Also I do not see the point of removing this functionalities at all even tho they still provide the UWP APIs to build third party file explorers heck even apps like Torrex Pro use the downloads folder and edge straight up lies by saying “This device doesn’t support downloads.”. Also whats the point of many apps where the whole purpose is to open specific file types if you cannot launch those files… It has become a whole mess. This system worked flawlessly up until 2019-2020.
