How I Upgrade

Thanks Peddler!! Glad you like them!!! Keep racing 'em - I need all the help I can get for the tuning achievements.

I've got a couple good Honda NSX builds out in B-Class. Also have a Subaru 22B that isn't bad and an Evo 6.

Haven't done much in C or D class.

How do I upgrade weapons?

Cliff Briscoe in Novac also sometimes has mods, I've seen mods for both guns and energy weapons there. I think any merchant that regularly sells weapons has a chance to have mods for sale.

So I wrote down the order in which you upgrade the parts & tried it out - I have to say, I'm impressed! It's similar to how I do it, but I had no idea certain engine parts improved handling - thanks to you, I now know which ones. =)

 

Between your tunes and LK's paint jobs I will never get those achvo's. So the best I can do is help you all get them.

 

Ok. Race differential. I have been playing around with the %. I like when I let off the gas the car will slow down ( like your F50 A class). When you get time could you explain your thoughts on setting %? I am still using your tunes and love them. I
am going to check out the list you sent me.

 

I haven't tuned much with FWD/AWD cars in this game so what I'm about to say is based on my experience with RWD cars in FM5 (and mostly mid-engine RWD cars)

I've been tuning my differential settings high (95-100%). I'm pretty quick to get back on the gas in the turns so having a higher setting on accel helps to increase grip and oversteer and makes the car turn-in faster. I also try not to coast too much through
turns so I set the decel setting high as well. This also helps with turn-in and also increases oversteer when coasting so, if I'm in the middle of a turn and need a little angle, I can just lift off the throttle and use the high decel differential setting
to help with turn-in while I'm off the throttle.

 

Thanks. Thats where I am at with mine. I drove your lambo..B class, I think. The response time in turning the car is alittle slow for me. I did race it ( first time) and climbed about 2500 spots....soooooooo I just need practice with. Nice job crunch.

That's exactly how I feel about that build. I just haven't gotten around to going back to see what I can do to fix it.

 

Do you have many tunes up to share Crunch? I am looking to try a few vs a few I have now.

 

Whats up Fyer. @Crunch, I have been trying out different % on this. Try this and tell me what you think. A front motor RWD car: the ACC: try like a 40 to 80%. The DEC: 5 to 30%. This put a wrench in my motor for what I thought was going on. I MIGHT
have some more for FWD and AWD...just a few more runs and I can say for sure.

I've been mostly racing A-class online so I've focused a lot on tunes in that class. I've got a couple tunes for the KTM X-Bow that I really like (they're great around both Road Atlanta courses and all courses in Prague). I've also got a Ferarri CS 360 tune
that I use a lot online (good at Bathurst and Spa). I've got the Ferrari F50 tuned in A-class (just OK by my standards) and also have an S-class tune that I really like!

In B-class I've got a couple Honda NSX tunes that have been good for me.

I also just did a C-class tune for the BMW X5 that I liked a lot (used it for the Sport Truck Specialized career league).

I know that I've shared more than those - but those are my favorites off the top of my head. If you have any requests - let me know and I'll see what I can cook up!

 

@Peddler - I'll give those settings a shot. Might not be tonight - but I'll try to get some laps in and do some testing in the next couple days.

I tried these settings last night on a Viper I was working on and I didn't notice much difference. What did you notice about these settings that was good or bad?
