    How does XBOX have such high download speeds?


    I Tried googling this and searching Reddit and couldn't find an answer. I pay for 15mbs internet but downloads on my series S are averaging in the 30mbs range. For comparison on steam, I get somewhere in the 2-5mb range. How is Xbox able to give me double than what I get on speed tests?

    New Xbox one S update not working.

    Tried multiple ways of downloading and power cycling everything, i have 80mbs download speed.
    Download speed isn't a factor at the moment. Like Onyx is Here said, more people are using xbox all at once which is straining their service. download speed still depends on how many using that service, even having a high download speed.

    As mentioned above, Try a wired connection to help with the download speeds, If that does not help and you are still experiencing slow download speeds your Internet Service Provider could be throttling your speeds for high bandwidth downloads

    Are you using WiFi connection or wired connection to connect to Xbox Live?

    Basically your download speed depends on your internet download speed.

    It your internet is not a High Speed Internet service, it may take some time to finish your download. If you have a High Speed Internet, try using wired connection.

    They are not "officially" supported? Does this mean Microsoft just hasn't tested LIVE on them? And with 24 down and 11 up how would it NOT be lackluster? Is that NOT high-speed? Right now I have 10 down 1 up and its considered "high-speed"

    xbox series x upload speeds are capped at 67 mbps.

    A quick lesson on how the internet works....

    Just because you have a high bandwidth and can accept fast downloads or send at a high speed, doesn't mean that the people at the other end can or want to. You could be running a 3GB fibre connection, but if the service provider wants you to only have the data at 300mbps, that's all you will get.

    High speed internet is only useful for multiple users. Not for quicker downloads.
