How does the striking system work? And can spam reporting get me banned?

I just wanted to ask about a ban I recieved yesterday at about 19:39. I got banned regarding a conversation with a player of Dead By Daylight. The guy had messaged me before and a few people I know in the community. He messages them after their games and tells them that they are pathetic poor etc. When He messaged me a few days ago I played with the situation. Acting as if I was hurt and upset by his messages and obviously he continued to insult me and the other people I was playing with. However yesterday I invited him to my party to try and talk things out and sent him a message and I noticed he got a loy more hostile. Saying enjoy the ban and "whats that? No response? No witty comeback? Hahahaha!" This is when I got banned. So how did I get banned so quickly? And how is it that when the people he messages reports him he does not get the same treatment?

Also prevent inviting offensive players in an parties, instead the least you can also do is continue reporting the player.

That's not how it works. You will never get a strike for just being reported. To receive a strike you actually need to break the community standards, This has not changed. Remember, by signing up for the service, you agreed to abide by these rules which are legally binding.

Spam reports do not work.

In fact anyone spamming the report feature will get suspended for abuse of the reporting system.

Although it's unfortunate that you were playing with douchebags who didn't seem to care, there are people who care & report boosters every time they're caught. For example, me.

Reporting does work; it just doesn't seem like it because it works behind the scenes & you don't get any notification for it. The reporting process also takes time because a real enforcement team uses sophisticated software & they get paid to check EVERY
SINGLE REPORT. In most cases I believe there is a 3-strike system before someone can be permanently banned from the game as well. Rest assured though, repeat offenders will be notified of their suspenion / ban if they don't go straight & fix their act.
