    how does the Aux port on the Gen 4 A50 base station function, i.e. what are the uses and...


    A few questions

    Any help for any question or part of a question would be much appreciated

    1. the Aux port on the Gen 4 A50 base station is listed as an Aux in/mic out TRRS 3.5mm port. So am I right in assuming that this port will inject audio into the headset (as long as the base station is plugged in via the USB cable) as well as send any audio
      that the microphone picks up out of the aux port? Does the aux over ride the USB and/or Optical input/output? or how does that work?
    2. Can I use a Y TRRS to 2 TRS splitter (mic and headphone) to inject the mic audio into one device (my streaming pc for example) and the headphone end into another device (like my phone for example) to play music from?
    3. will any audio injected to the base station via the Aux in/mic out port be heard from other outputs such as the USB or Optical port?

    Astro A50's not working in party chat or game chat on Backwards Compatible games

    Does the headset work on Xbox One Party chat (i.e. do you see a circle around your gamerpic in the party chat on Xbox One)?

    Are only Backwards compatible games affected? If so, it might be that the Astro A50 base station acts as a USB microphone, which doesn't work as Chat microphone on the Xbox 360.

    You might have to contact the Astro A50 support for information on how to use that headset on backwards compatible titles.

    Can't use Dolby Atmos for Home Theater with headset base station connected (Elite 800X and Astro A50)

    For the record, I tried your suggestion with both the Astro A50 and the TB Elite 800X base station and both showed the same result....CANNOT USE ATMOS FOR HT WITH BASE STATION PLUGGED IN!

    So...what now?

    Yeah it works on the Xbox One party chat but yeah that's what i was thinking i might just have to get a old Xbox One chat headset for it to work.

    Same issue, Astro A50 gen 4 with base station and elite series 2 contoller.

    In party chat window, i light up when speaking and my friends can hear me chat, my friends icons light up when speaking but i can not hear them.
