How does play anywhere work for a second(minor child) account on Xbox and PC?

Hi all

We have an Xbox One S that I'm setup as owner and my son is the second account on it. My son also has his laptop setup with his MS account. I bought Cuphead play anywhere game and I'm wondering if I should install it under my account on Xbox as we always
install games. This way both can play it.

So my questions are:

1. How will it affect my son's ability to play it on his laptop?

2. Should I just redeem it under his account on xbox?

Unable to download new profile, get 80150016 xbox live error

Xbox 360. Bought game and needed a live Gold account. Bought 1 year Gold membership. Tied child account to parent account. Parent account already on the Xbox showing "Live". Worked with Support to get the 25 digit Live Gold number in the system. Since
child account has to be linked to parent, when signing in to download a new profile, we use the parent account to sign in.

We created a new profile on the Xbox for the 2nd child.

When choosing, "Download a new profile", the Parent account name and the first child account show up as already in place on the USB attached. (32GB USB attached for more storage)

The new account name for the second child is listed, but does not show that it is anywhere. When selecting the second child account in the download section, I immediately get the 80150016 Cannot download error. We are choosing the USB because the System
memory that is in the Xbox is almost full and we are attempting to put the new profile on the USB.

It does not start to download, it fails immediately.

Cleared the cache on the machine 3 times with accessories unplugged. Same problem. At wits end!

 

Xbox live family gold plan and MW3

I have multiple accounts on my console. Able to split screen and play MW3 with another. The Family pack allows the parent to control the child account. The parent can use custom settings to allow a minor child to play mature games but not view any
mature video. Don't know about music. Not until the child's birthdate allows them access by becoming an adult. The family pack has one parent account and three child accounts. The child accounts can be used for adult or minor children, spouse, etc. and must
be placed on one console. From there they can be moved tag and license to another console pretty much anywhere the family pack is available. Like when the child moves away he or she can take their account with them on their own console. The problem with the
child account is adding ms points via marketplace need to be purchased from the parent account and an allowance given to a child account. Some issues with Netflix and some other things I can't remember right now. At that point you can remove the child from
the family account and they can just pay for there own account and not lose their tag, license, achievement score etc.

 

The account that bought it, can als play it on a laptop.

 

the account that bought the game has to be the one signed into the account on the laptop I believe.

 

You can game share on pc, through which ever account you would like, so I would suggest buying it through whichever gamertag you normally do. The gamertag that purchased it has to make the initial download on the laptop, but once its downloaded others can
sign in and play it.
