How do you sync past purchases to Microsoft account?

That is NOT what the prompt says, it says "Save purchases to a Microsoft Account", with a button that says "Save to Microsoft Account". No where is it mentioned that they are 2 different products, and you cannot save your purchases. Clicking "Save to Microsoft
Account" does nothing, other than sign you into your Microsoft Account.

"Do you want to play with whatever you buy from any Minecraft Store enabled system? Sign in with a FREE Microsoft account and sync your purchased Skins, Textures, Maps, and Mash-ups to use and play in Minecraft!

If you lose your system or uninstall Minecraft, your purchases will still be synced and accessible on any system when you use your Microsoft account."

to contact Mojang support lead me to here, from their perspective it is a Microsoft issue.

Button choices are "Save to Microsoft Account" and "Cancel". Selecting "Save to Microsoft Account", I login to my Microsoft account, which contains 0 Minecraft purchases. This means there is no actual sync occurring.

Ive seen this question elsewhere on this forum and on the web so it appears to be a common issue. How does one sync their purchases as it is NOT straight forward.

if you purchase via microsoft store you have to load fortnite on an xbox console with an account that is linked to your epic account to sync them, otherwise you need to purchase via epic store or in game as microsoft has nothing to do with the pc version of fortnite.

the pc version of cod is nothing to do with microsoft, you would need to purchase through the game on pc or though the battlenet store. the cod points on microsoft store sync to the xbox console game when you log in with that account.

nope, if purchased via Microsoft store then you need to load up on an Xbox console with an Xbox account that is linked to an epic account then it will sync, you cannot just purchase on the Microsoft store via pc and have it auto transfer to the epic account.
