How do you reset a xbox series x to 1080p without a screen pls answer

Hello Cullen, sorry to hear you're having trouble with your console.

I presume you have the console connected but it's just a black screen that you're seeing. If this is the case first please make sure the HDMI cables are secure. Once done you can force a factory reset on the console by first holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds till it shuts down then unplug it for 30 seconds.

When you plug the console back in hold only the Sync+Eject buttons then tap the power button on the console to turn it on. Keep holding only the Sync+Eject buttons on the console until you hear the second start up tone. Sometimes this can take up to 30 seconds to hear. Once you hear it release the buttons and then follow the on screen instructions to reset the console. There's an option to keep installed games and apps and your saves will be safe on the Cloud.

Do not use the app or bring over previous settings if you're prompted to do so.

Xbox One S is not really a 4K console,

4K Media Content - Yes

You can play 4K Blu-ray DVD's or Streaming services like Netflix in 4K just fine if your paying the the 4K subscription options,

4K Gaming Content - No

As for games, it only plays games at 1080p but it is upscaled to 4K, other wise a 1080p image without upscaling to 4K, will look much worst on a 4K screen than what it would do, if it was only displayed on a 1080p screen,

A 1080p image upscaled on a 4K screen does look a little better than a 1080p image on a 1080p screen, but it still a 1080p image made to fit a 4K resolution screen, which is what the Xbox One S does

Xbox One X is a 4K console,

4K Media - Yes

4K Gaming - Yes

The issues is not the TV, it's the Xbox One S not being an Xbox One X.

Does the 1080p support go for both the Series S and Series X, or just the Series S?

1080p is supported by both Series X / S,

However if your only playing at 1080p and have no plan's of upgrading to a 4K TV / Monitor, The Xbox Series S would be recommended as is a 1080p / 1440p gaming console and you would save £/$200, than getting the Series X, as that is a 4K gaming console and
you would never get to use the full potential of it if used on a 1080p TV / Monitor.

I've spotted your question and since it happened to me before, I'd like to share you some steps that helped me when I had this problem.

On the console, press and hold the Xbox button for 10 seconds to turn off the console.

Press and hold the Xbox button and the bind button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You’ll hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash on before the second beep. Don’t let go until the second beep occurs.

In either case, this will boot your console in low resolution mode (640 × 480). To reset this setting, press the Xbox button to open the guide. Go to Profile & system > Settings > General > TV & display options, and then select the resolution that you want from the options under Display.

You might also want to test it on a different TV and use a different HDMI Cable.

I have a similar question. So if i have a 1080p TV will the Xbox Series X work fine on that? and is it worth getting the Series X for a 1080p TV? What are the advantages?
