How do you report pedophiles on Xbox - Its ludicrous how hard it seems to be

I'm really sorry this happened to you when your son was using Xbox Live. These kinds of messages go way out of scope for just a complaint on the Xbox system, you would need to take this up with your local police authorities for them to investigate.

I'm from the United Kingdom and I know that that in my country the CPS (Crown Prosecution Service) here do actively prosecute people for attempts at online grooming. Indeed, I have worked in a UK court and I recall a couple of cases were a person was being prosecuted for sexual communications with a child using an online gaming service. The service in question was the PlayStation Network. These cases were pursued (I remember reading the indictments) and the defendants were given convictions.

Now of course, how this is going to be looked at varies from country to country of course.

i would also suggest filing a report with the police and giving them the gamertag and screenshots of the messages.

It's happening far too often on the Xbox One and I still think its ludicrous how achievements don't pop up when you are offline! Also, the achievements snapping when you hit the guide button is starting to annoy.

You need to report him for being a pedophile first. Don’t call him a **** or curse, I think he can report you for that. Report him first
