How do you remove Facebook connection through Xbox while its still active?

I've gotten the same error. I believe it does have to do with the app's removal. Every article that I've read on the issue indicates that MS wants us to connect to Facebook through the IE app. Maybe signing into Facebook through that will reconnect things?
I can't imagine why they would leave bits of the Facebook app behind if they didn't work.

The option no longer shows for me to even connect my Facebook account. It was linked in the past but no Facebook isn’t even an option on my console or the app. I have Twitch, Steam and Discord linked, the only other option is Reddit which I do not use. Is there a way to do this still or did Microsoft remove Facebook linking?

Have you tried going on to Facebook and removing the Xbox services from the Apps that you've signed in through?

I have also tried to log into facebook through the new internet explorer app and then share the achievement while still logged in but this does not work either. I agree that it is pretty pointless leaving features like "share" on the console if it now will
not work since the app has been removed.
