How do you redeem a gift code after you redeemed it on the wrong account?

My son sent me a xbox one gift code and I redeemed it on the wrong account. I redeemed it to his account. He says, he can't resend it once it's been redeemed and says I screwed up. What can I say, I'm a newb when it comes to this sort of stuff. When
I received his email with the gift code I redeemed it from my mobile device and his email and password was already pre-entered on the browser so I logged into his account and not mine. Can you please help?

There is no way to transfer anything from one account to another.

Thank you for reaching out to the forum. To redeem the code you have to be logged in to your xbox account and you got to have a valid payment option on your account to redeem codes.

Unfortunately, you are unable to refund a gift card that has been redeemed. Xbox Support are unable to transfer across accounts.

"Important Before you redeem your code, make sure that you're signed in to the correct Microsoft account on your device or browser. Codes that are redeemed on the wrong account cannot be transferred to another Microsoft account by Xbox Support."
