How do you purchase the $40 digital download The Taken King version for Xbox One?

I already have dcl pack 1 and II i would like to buy the $40 digital download but i cant find a way to do it. any suggestions?

On the 360, you have to get ingame, and go to Choose Destination. Select the Taken King logo on the map, and it gives you the digital download options for just the $40 Taken King and the $20 bonus pack.

Darthdad969, that is why it has been stated repeatedly in this thread that Bungie has stated that "Unfortunately digital pre-orders are not available for the Xbox 360 platform. You will be able to purchase The Taken King $40 expansion on 9/15 when The Taken
King releases.

Note that all Day 1 Taken King players will have access to the bonus weapon packs."

And "Destiny players who have reached light level 30 or who previously purchased Expansion I and Expansion II by August 31, 2015, will receive an exclusive commemorative Founder's Fortune year 1 Emblem, Sparrow, Armor shader and more at launch with your
purchase of The Taken King."

 

Try the game hub, or purchase via the game. When you go to the set destination screen, should be an icon for TTK. Click there, should take you to the download section to get it. That's how I pre-ordered it.

 

I dont know if you got past this problem but I still am not able to buy the Taken King. It keeps telling me that it is Bundle Only for the digital download and Not Available for the option just named The Taken King.

 

When you get to the 'Bundle Only' screen, click on 'Bundles' This will take you to the bundles page, which lists two bundles. One, is the full version with everything, denoted by the single picture as shown on the Collector/Legacy version. The other shows
7 or 8 smaller pictures, click on it.

Or... that might be for the $20 Collector's Edition upgrade. But same principle, just have to actually look for it.

 

The thing is I found all the options but both versions of the standalone Taken King that should be $40 can't be purchased right now.

 

There's an announcement post in the Destiny 360 thread (forums.xbox.com/.../2039205.aspx) that lists all the steps that have been stated so far, only all
together, and perhaps a bit more detailed. Might try that.

 

Okay I found the problem. Technically another account on my xbox owns the license for the expansion pass and not my account, which means I cannot purchase the Taken King outside of a bundle including the Expansion Pass.
