How do you invite people to a fireteam that are not on your friends list?

Looking for people to do Vault of Glass. If anyone wants to do it add me as a friend and message me and i will invite into the party and fireteam

The Strikes have a matchmaking system and will place you in a fireteam.

The only way to run missions/explore on a fireteam is to invite or be invited by other players. Open your menu and tab left, you'll see players in your area on your "roster". Problem is you have to send messages to see if they are interested in doing whatever
you're doing or just sending an invite and risk annoying people.

Update:

Okay for anyone trying to figure out how to invite friends to your fireteam or join a friends fireteam on the XBOX ONE, go to orbit, now follow these steps:

1. Press the "X" button.

2. Go to friends app.

3. From the home page of the friends app, go to "My Profile".

4. Tab right and (under the "JOIN IN" label) click on "Destiny".

5. If your friend is listed, skip to step 10.

6. Click on "Invite more".

7. Select your friend.

8. Click invite to game or Part & Game.

9. Refresh the friends app by pressing "B" to back out, and then go back in.

10. Find your friend and click his name.

11. Click join.

12. Click game.

Rand, press start and go press LB to go to the roster (or left). There you can see all of the people currently in your fireteam (think 3-man squad), your friends list that'll show who's currently playing the game, and anyone else that is in the current "zone"
or "area" as you. From here you can join, message, invite, etc.

You don't even need to gather in the tower. You can invite people to join you in orbit, or even during activities. If you check your roster (press start, scroll left once), it should show who is currently in your fireteam. If you are in orbit, it will show
your fireteam members right below your name. If you are the fireteam leader, you will bring the whole fireteam with you to whatever activity you select.
