How do you install the content from 2-disc games onto a series x?

Which disc are you using to install the content onto your console? You'll want o install from Disc 2 as opposed to Disc 1, if you are using the Ultimate edition of Fallout New Vegas.

I cannot speak for Xbox One users or users with a digital download on Xbox 360, I have a retail disc copy. The fix is simple. Delete the Destiny content on your storage device as Bungie suggests but, install the disc instead of running the game and downloading
the 5GB+ of content from the network.

Most 360 games on disc allow you to install the game to the hard drive by pressing X and selecting Install which you should do with Destiny. If you do not do this, the game will install the disc content for you but from the Internet and not from disc. This
5GB+ of unneeded download is what is failing the verification. The disc install takes up 7GB.

Is this Disc 1 or Disc 2?

Disc 1 is the mandatory installation and is installed by pressing A and just letting the game load up will install the roughly 8GB of content to the HDD. Disc 2 is not recommended as an installation as that actually decreases performance for this title (the
console can read the content faster off a spinning disc).

In either case, you could just borrow a copy of the game from a friend to do the installation. If you then install Disc 2 too, as long as the Xbox can verify that your slightly damaged Disc 2 is still a legitimate version it will run the game from the HDD
installation file.

Setting your console to your 'Home Console' allows digital content to played, even if there is a Live Outage or your own internet service isn't available. Essentially allowing you to play your downloaded games offline.

We can't provide official comment on the cost of the Series S and it's disadvantages hardware and cost wise compared to the Series X as most users on this forum (myself included) are just users like you, not Microsoft staff.

The Series S|X can use external storage for Xbox One games, it's the Series titles that must be installed internally or on an optional expansion card.

Xbox disc games do not have install keys. The individual discs are not unique, which is why you can trade them in. As there is no key, installed disc games will not work on the Series S.

Hello Drew, sorry to hear you're having trouble with the game.

If you're trying to install the game it may be easier to either do a network transfer or move the game to an external drive and then just attach it to the Series X. From there you should be able to move the game to the Series X and then only need the disc to play the game itself.

As for the discs themselves though check for any scratches that may prevent the reading of the disc properly. Another thing you could try is to take the console offline while you install the game as it's also possible that a game update may be interfering with the install as well.
