How do you get the Xbox App on a Samsung phone to use the earbuds microphone?

Thank you for responding. My app doesn't have an audio settings option. I searched both the app and the phone settings for a way to fix this. The audio from the party does go through my earbuds but it is using my phone's microphone. I tested it today by walking away from my phone. I then attempted to talk and the party said I got quieter and couldn't really hear me. When I put the phone by my face, they can hear me better.

Same here. Haylou W1 first worked, but now app cant use micro.

Any earbuds that have a good microphone quality is fine. You can test them on your laptop or phone how are they registering sound.

The microphone quality differs pretty widely. The Samsung AKG's are pretty good.

My main headset is a turtle beach recon 50x stereo headset, I also have some Samsung earbuds and another offbrand set of earbuds. The TB headset and Samsung earbuds both used to work fine, but the new offbrand earbuds were purchased after the issue began
and have not worked. I also have tested all 3 on a PC with no issues, but do not have another Xbox to test them on.
