How do you fix deadzone on left joystick?

Have you tried to use the Xbox Accessories App to calibrate the sticks?

Open the Xbox Accessories app on your console or PC.

On the screen for your controller in the Accessories app, select “…“ to open the device details screen.

Before you recalibrate your controller, check to see if there’s a firmware update available for your controller. If there is, update your controller before you recalibrate.

Select Recalibration options.

Select the specific thumbstick you want to recalibrate (left or right).

Follow the on-screen instructions to perform the recalibration.

Joysticks tend to drift after clicking them after awhile. If the game has a deadzone setting that will fix it.

Change the deadzone on the Joysticks, having the deadzone too low will cause drift because they're ultra sensitive

I have a similar problems this morning. While in BL3, my character would back up by itself when I would'nt touch the left joystick. I was able to correct that issue using in-game settings and play with the "inner deadzone" left stick setting.

Then I notices it was also turning right by itself, just a little. Did the same thing for the right joystick.

Before that I tried calibrating it with my computer, using a usb cable and typing joy.cpl but I did not find any improvment. That's why I tried the in-game settings after.

Adjust your deadzone sensitivity on fps and other games that allow you to do so, the greater the deadzone the more input is required to move or aim, im having the same issue with 2 of my controllers, one left analogue, the others on the right.

Its likely to be a fault with the analogue control module, either its lose or faulty, all sorts of fixes on Youtube, probably be easier getting a new controller, im going to need to buy my 5th soon myself. Hope the deadzone fix helps you out till that point.
