How do you block your console if your xbox is stolen

You will want to change your security information on your account and/or password. You can do this via this page here: Additional security options

If your Xbox console is set to your home Xbox, please visit your devices page here: Microsoft account | Devices

You will want to select the Xbox console that has been stolen. You should see an option that allows you to say that this is not your home console.





Once you have changed your password, it should prompt the user to sign into your account again. If you have any bank/billing information stored on your Microsoft account, please inform your bank, lock your card, and get a new card. This will prevent the thief from taking money out of your account.

If you haven't done so already, please inform your local police. Law enforcement team so they can help retrieve your stolen Xbox and other belongings (If they have been stollen).

I'm afraid what you're asking isn't possible. if your console was stolen as part of a burglary, you would need to claim it back on any home insurance you have. Microsoft do not block/ban consoles for this reason. Controllers can not be blocked.

If you had your account on the console, changing the account password will prevent your account being used.

In any case, these things are usually sold on, and it is highly likely that the person who now has your console does not know it was stolen.

Microsoft complies with your local law enforcement. If your Xbox 360 was stolen and they are able to help in anyway in terms of tracking a console then they should be able to comply. They will not be able to release that information to you directly unfortunately,
they will go directly through with local law enforcement. They will not block a console from the network if the console itself hasn't done anything wrong, and you can always retrieve your account if it's been stolen/compromised from your console being stolen.
