How do you add a friend that plays Nintendo Switch and you play Xbox?

We are friends i doesnt show he's online when i play the game, it goes the same way for him. Is their a way to log into Microsoft on the nintendo switch?

Once you are signed into your Microsoft account on the device that you want to use to play with your friends, you should be able to follow these simple steps in order to add your friends and play online with them:

a. Click “Play” on the homescreen
b. Toggle to the right onto the “Friends” tab
c. Click the button to “Add Friend”

d. Find friends by entering their Microsoft Gamertag

To play Minecraft with players on Xbox and PlayStation while you're on a Nintendo Switch, make sure all players are using the Bedrock Edition of Minecraft, which supports cross-platform play across these consoles.

Older editions of Minecraft on console will not work.

Sign in with a Microsoft account on your Nintendo Switch, and add your friends using their Xbox Gamertags,

Make sure everyone have the mandatory online subscriptions (Nintendo Switch Online, Xbox Game Pass Core, PlayStation Plus) for online multiplayer. Otherwise, online multiplayer will not work.

Once done, select “Play” and you'll see your friends in the “Friends” tab. You can join them in their world, or even create a Realm to play together.
