How do log into my xbox if I have lost my email password?

So two days ago I updated my phone, transferred everything from my old phone to my new phone, wiped clean my old phone and then sold it. The next day I went to check my Hotmail emails but found that I had to log in again, unfortunately it has been a long time since I have used my password as I had the authenticator app on my old phone, so i have now forgotten the password. To reset my password, Microsoft says i have to use the authenticator app, which i do not have, the next option is test a code to my phone, I still have my original number so that comes through fine, it then says that because i had two step authentication on, i need to send a code to my old email address which was unfortunately an old work email for a company that i left years ago. I tried for a while to guess/remember the password and in the end gave up and asked them to send me a code which they say could take a month, i didn't mind waiting a month as the email account is not that important. But when i went to play on my xbox i find that i am now blocked out of my account i cant cancel the request as i have to log into my email to cancel it!

I have tried to fill in the Microsoft account recovery forms but they just follow up with an email stating that because i have two step authentication on, it will just be ignored.

Is there a way of me getting my xbox account back or am i stuck waiting 30 days? I am only one day into not being able to play on my xbox and its killing me.

Yes, sadly the account recovery form doesn't work with 2 steps verification enabled.

You need to wait 30 days until you gain access back to the account. Sadly there is no way to speed up this process

Just as a friendly reminder, once you recover the account update and keep updated all your security info to avoid this in the future

okay thank you, but regards to having to sign in to change my primary alias, as I cant do that because ive lost the password to that email, what am I supposed to do? is there another way I can log in and change it?

but if i have the right email and everything. But the problem is that i cant log in on my xbox, i should write in my email and password but when i did that it says wrong email or password. I can log in on the internetpage but not on my xbox

i have had 2 emails asking me to log in with my origin email and password to give feedback.

i never set up any passwords so how can i log in?

I had it on my email, the one I use for my windows live. But it still won't let me log in even though I type in the password I have for that Microsoft account. Is it really lost?
