How do I watch my friend play his games through the Xbox app

Back before the new Xbox update for iOS, I was able to watch my friend’s “stream” without him doing anything. After the update I cannot find this functionality again. Did they remove it? And if they did, is there any way to keep watching my friend’s play
their games?

unless he is streaming on twitch then you don't, unfortunately this is xbox not playstation.

Me and my friend who plays xbox through his pc through the app is stuck in the tutorial, I can't send him invites, does he has to do all theblmar missions? Or reach a certain level? Quick replays would be awesome!!

Ever think it has a bit to do with your friends list? Majority of my friends are always playing games, sure there's a few watching netflix etc. but they'd been playing a game for a number of hours before that...

Also to date, I have not downloaded a single app on my 360, I have on the Xbox One, but that was just Uplay so I hardly consider that a proper app. Point is, there's still plenty of people playing games on my list and I'm sure others too.

I have the same question, but what I think OP is trying to ask is, how do we take a game clip captured on PC through the Xbox Gamebar and upload it to the Xbox PC App, so that we may share it to our friends through the app?
