How do I update my email but keep my Xbox progress

Basically I have an old, hard to access email that my Xbox is currently under but I wanted to change the email of that account to my new one which is linked to my computer… but when I went to change the old account email to the new account it wouldn’t let me as it already exists…but I don’t want to delete the old one as it has all my years of progress under..so how do I update the email without losing progress on Xbox

Hello Sam, by your description you are trying to change the "Alias" of your email, but you cannot add an alias of an account that already exists.

In case you have to log into the account you would like to change your email and add a new Alias, with that you will have another email as a method of logging into your account.

When I will do these steps with my account with new email, will my progress in games and games be lost or I will keep them

Does anyone know the email of the fraud department because i have been told that xbox support has escalated my issue twice and they do not update them on progress so i would like to email them myself for an update.

And if anyone is looking at my case could you let me know what is happening as my only option soon will be to seek legal advice.
