    How do I turn on my Xbox One with my Windows 10 PC?


    I want to be able to turn on my Xbox One S console with my Windows 10 Laptop, but it just won't work.

    When I try turning on my Xbox using Windows' Xbox App, It just comes up with "We were unable to turn on your console. Make sure this device is on the same network as your console and your console is set to instant-on."

    When I turn on my Xbox and I sign in, the connection works fine.

    My laptop is a LINX 1010B. It is an x86-based PC and like my Xbox, is connected wirelessly to a Technicolor Router on a 2.4G Wireless Port.

    Please can someone help me resolve this issue.

    'Turn On' Xbox One Not Working But SmartGlass Does

    I am unable to turn on my Xbox One from the Windows 10 Xbox app, receiving the following error message "We are unable to turn on your console. Make sure this device is on the same network as your console and your console is set to instant-on".
    However, if the Xbox One is already on, I can connect and utilize game streaming from Windows 10. On the same network, I can successfully turn on the Xbox One from the SmartGlass app on my iPhone and then connect to the Xbox One for game streaming from Windows
    10. Any ideas for how to get the Xbox One to turn on directly from Windows 10 without having to use the SmartGlass app?
