    How do I turn off the on screen keyboard on Xbox One?


    Hello Im trying to completely turn off the on screen keyboard on my Xbox One. Ive already read through several forums and none of them help me out. Ive seen that I can press Win+ESC. That gets rid of my on screen keyboard but then I cant type with my physical keyboards. Ive also seen something that said to go to the Windows 10 app and then go to something called “Typing on my xbox” but I can find a Windows 10 app anywhere. Ive already gone through all the settings there are and the only keyboard related setting is for a larger on screen keyboard which would just make my problem worse.

    What do I do

    Unfortunately disabling on-screen keyboard is not possible anymore.
    In the past was possible via the Xbox console companion app but now doesn't work

    I use Microsoft edge on Xbox quite a bit and would like to be able to turn off the on-screen keyboard when typing. I use a mouse and keyboard, so I don't

    need the on-screen one. As of right now, I can't find a way to turn it off, I just see an option to change the size of the on-screen keyboard, but not turn it off.

    I do have the latest Xbox and Edge version.

    Sadly we don't have this option. A workaround is to press B on the controller to close the keyboard.

    Disable On-Screen Keyboard for Xbox

    You used to be able to disable the on screen keyboard this way.

    • Get the Windows 10 App, you can turn it off from there.
    • It's under "settings" and under the headline "Typing on my Xbox One."
    Not sure if this still works.
    What is the windows ten app and how do you get it?
