    How do I turn off profanity filter when I’m trying to talk to type


    My friends and I use profanity on the regular in our conversations on Xbox and sometimes in order to get longer text chains out quicker I use talk to type. My talk to type censors out multiple swear words, and I want to turn off that feature. Like I want to be able to hit the button for talk to type and tell my friend “**** man that sucks“ (no spaces in the first word) without it just being a bunch of asterisks on the F word.

    Why does Xbox even allow for profanity bans if it has a built in filter for it?

    You have to manually decide to turn off the filter. If you make the choice to turn off the filter you should not be able to get someone communication banned just for using a profanity. This is the craziest thing I think I have ever seen, and I've been playing Xbox since like 2008.
    In addition to what Zahir_Ramathula said its also because profanity filters arent perfect and dont catch absolutely everything so some things can still slip through even with the profanity filter enabled.

The filter is a built-in feature of the Xbox system and is designed to help ensure a safe and enjoyable gaming experience for all users.



    Please note that even with these settings adjusted, some games may still have their own profanity filters that cannot be turned off. For those specific games, you will need to contact the game developer so that they can provide you options on how you can turn those off on some games.

    What you changed is your settings on Xbox's end. Some other games may have some specific words that is blocked or changed.

    XBOX LIVE auto renewal turned off!

    You need to contact Phone Support if you are trying to take a card off of an account with Automatic Renewal turned on. Also, profanity, whether it's caught by the filter or not, is not allowed on the Xbox.com forums. Please keep that in mind next time you
