    How do I turn off mic monitoring while using a turtle beach adapter


    Hi, i recently bought a new headset and ever since ive had the mic monitoring feature always turned on even though i hate it but i cant turn it off through the audio settings unless its plugged into the controller and i want to use my turtle beach adapter
    any advice?

    the headset i bought was the steelsieries arctis 1X and i even tried downloading the steelsieries engine to try and configure it but it isnt compatible with the arctis 1X

    this is my last hope. in desperate need of help.

    on xbox i just use my trusty turtle beach xo4 or xo7 pro headsets, good mic, the pro has awsome mic monitoring and thumping sound, but i do use the turtle beach adapter with sound settings, the xbox audio controls when plugged directly into the controller
    are horrid.

    I am sorry but my Turtle Beach PX5's would beg to differ as i can turn off mic monitoring by using my presets manager. Why would i want to though as if i could not hear myself speak i would end up shouting.

    Sorry but on the Turtle Beach headsets the mic monitoring cannot be turned off at all, Tritton headsets which have their version of this function (Tritton call theirs SVM Selectable Voice Monitoring) can be turned on/off.

    If you use the adapter from xbox you will not be able to have mic monitoring. you can buy an adapter from turtle beach that allows mic monitoring. Xbox is being really dumb not letting people use mic monitoring with the xbox adapters

    I am having the same problem. I've tried both a Skull Candy headset connected with XBox brand adapter AND a Turtle Beach Headset with Turtle Beach adapter. I can OCCASIONALLY get the mic to function, but after I turn the XBox off and on again, it often
    doesn't work. I can hear myself in the mic, BUT the mic icon next to my name in XBox Live pre-game lobby screen won't indicate that it is picking up any volume.
