    How do I turn off incoming friend requests?


    I’m aware of the bot situation on xbox, and before it was managable without any real inconvenience, just block and move on.

    But recently I have been getting an absolute massive influx of accounts adding me, im talking several a day!

    some times they even add me in unison of eachother, meaning i’m getting notifications on top of notifications.
    Some of the accounts even have a couple thousand gamer score and custom profile pictures but you check their account and their entire timeline is just them adding 500+ as friends. It feels extemely malicious, before the bots were just giving links to web cam sites but now it just seems like they are trying to do something to peoples accounts. Or maybe im just being paranoid. Even so, its VERY annoying when trying to play a game or watch a video. HELP. I want an option to stop accounts from being able to add me. Theres an option that stops ME from adding friends but that is not the problem. I rarely add people. But I have had over 20 friend requests in the last 3 days.

    Friend Requets

    How many people have you tried sending a friend request to? If just one or two, it's possible their friends lists are full. A 360 user can have a maximum of 100 friends, which also includes incoming and outgoing requests that have not yet been accepted/denied.

    Try someone else and see if that works.

    It could be a number of reasons:

    His friend list contains 100 users. This is the maximum;

    The person he is adding already has 100 friends, and it will not accept any more;

    The other person's profile does not accept incoming friend requests; or

    The connection timed out.

    There may be some other reasons, but those are the four most likely I could think of.

    If he or the other person needs to clear out their friends lists, do that and try again. Pending requests do count towards the 100.

    Otherwise, try doing it by logging into Xbox.com, he may have more luck there.

    I also have no friends left they have all jumped ship to Next Gen already which sucks, I'll need to clear some space but yeah Friend request incoming.

    @ChachieeChintzy: It could also be that your own friend list is full. If so, delete a few and send the request again.

    Note that on Xbox.com and Xbox 360, you can only have 100 friends - and that includes the sum of confirmed friends, pending requests sent and pending requests incoming.

    However, in future do please create your own thread for a separate issue as this one was a year old and resolved.
