How do I trying to change my email/Microsoft account on my Xbox?

In order to manage the Microsoft email address you need to have access to the account first.

If you forgot your password you may need to recover the account by filling out and submitting the recovery form. Kindly go to this link:

To change the email address on an Xbox profile, you will have to change the email address on the Microsoft account (which is associated with the Xbox profile).

Not too sure if I am understanding correctly but are you trying to use a different email to sing-in into your Xbox account?

You'll be able to use your own email and remove your dads.

I had to do the same thing about my email address a while ago. The steps on how to do this are outlined at "How to change the
email address associated with your Microsoft account". I recommend doing this first and making sure everything works before making any changes to your gamer tag.
