I want to transfer my gamertag to a new Microsoft account on Xbox One. I can only find info online on how to do this on the xbox 360. Anyone have any ideas??

Hi there, what can be transferred from Xbox 360 to Xbox one, is your Xbox live profile and your save data. Go to storage on your Xbox 360 and upload every save data you need to your Xbox cloud. After that just download your Xbox one profile, All your Xbox

Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. To answer your question, you would simply need to use the same profile you use on your 360 to

log into the Xbox one. Once you do that, your gamertag, gamer score, and friends will all appear for you there. Any digital games that you own that are

backwards compatible will be there ready to install as well.

If you are looking to transfer your game saves you will have to put them in the cloud using Xbox Live Gold. If the Game is backwards compatible then the save will be in the cloud for your Xbox one. There is not a way to transfer the data physically.

 

To transfer your profile, simply add your profile to the Xbox One, and it will be there.

To transfer your game saves/progress you will need to save it to the cloud, then sign on Xbox One (this will only work for backwards compatible games)

 

If you are saving to a cloud storage, it should work that when you turn on the game on the Xbox ONE, then this save is synchronized.
