How do I transfer my Xbox live membership from the old 360 to the one?

Hi ,

Can anyone tell me how to add my live membership to our new Xbox one console?

Also, I know I have a Microsoft account but can't seem to find it? This is the one I set up for my son when he got a new laptop last year! My account would match The gold account details, which I think would have been set up with an old email. And from reading
a few posts I could Do with a family account, but have no idea how to set this up.

Any help is appreciated.

Hello!

I also want to change the old Gamertag (I'm logged in with it right now) to the new Live-ID I'm using for Windows, Outlook, Skype, etc.

I have a Xbox 360 and I know how to transfer it but will my digital game licences from the Xbox One transfer too or are they stored on the old Live-ID?

Unfortunately, you can't transfer Gold memberships like that.

On the Xbox One the "Home Console" can share the Gold membership to other accounts on that very console, but the Xbox 360 console can't do that.

You need to either buy a separate Gold membership for your son via Prepaid Gold cards, or subscribe to the Gold membership with his account.
