How do I talk to my sibling across PC?

Recently, one of my siblings got a PC, and since I do too, I thought we could talk to each other through xbox. Before we had PCs, we would play on our xbox (both signed in on the same one). Now we are trying to talk through the PCs but for me it shows that they keeps leaving and for them it shows that i’m disconnected. I don’t want to log out of the xbox but I don’t even know if that’s the problem. I also checked their mic and it was only not working in xbox.

    Help?

    :)

How do I talk to my sibling across PC?

    Hi ryjet!

Thanks for reaching Microsoft Community. We're here to help and let's work on this together.

To talk to your sibling across PC, you can use the Xbox Console Companion app on your PC. Here are the steps you can follow:

    1. Make sure you and your sibling are signed into your Microsoft accounts on your respective PCs.

    2. Download and install the Xbox Console Companion app on your PC.

    3. Open the app and sign in with your Microsoft account.

    4. Click on the "Friends & Clubs" tab on the left-hand side of the app.

    5. Click on the "Add Friend" button and search for your sibling's Microsoft account.

    6. Once you have added your sibling as a friend, you can invite them to a party by clicking on their name and selecting "Invite to Party".

    7. Once your sibling accepts the party invitation, you can start talking to them through the party chat feature.

If you are still experiencing issues with the party chat feature, you can try troubleshooting the issue by checking your network connection, updating your Xbox Console Companion app, and checking your microphone settings. If the issue persists, you can contact Xbox support for further assistance.

Please let us know how it goes. We look forward to hearing from you.

    Greetings,

    RodelioP.

How does Xbox connect you and family?

My sibling is in the army, me and him always play NHL 20 on XBOX Live. I love how we can play and talk.

My Xbox one Bluetooth adapter light is not turning on and the driver is not appearing in device manager.

Sadly I cannot right now. Other siblings in the household with PCs are not currently available to test this.
