How do i take the phone number off of my microsoft account

Well you have only two options

First sign in and use a backup proof like backup email or your existing phone number

.if both are outdated then you must request a proof reset

This takes 30 days

Meanwhile you cannot sign in on make purchases till the proofs are reset then you can add new ones as the old ones would be gone

To remove your phone number of your Microsoft Account, simply go to https://account.microsoft.com/profile, and there select Update profile under Account info. You can then press on Remove next to your phone number afterwards.

When i’m clicking on security it’s asking me to verify through my old not accessible number, any help?

Hi Cosmic Craze,

I'm using MS 365 and there is no "update Info" next to Phone Number, nor does it show a phone number.

At the security tab, I went into Advanced security options, which then gives me a code to enter into my MS Authenticator app. I have no idea where to enter this code.

Any other suggestions?
