    Xbox doesn't have a family plan. So any subscription you purchase is an individual subscription.

    So the tenure does reset when someone moves from an individual to a family account. I wouldn't call it "correct." He had an individual account for two years before switching to the family account. I guess well just accept it as a limitation of XBL.
