How do I switch/enable ipv6

IPv6 is enabled automatically by the Xbox if you have it. You can only have IPv6 if your internet provider supports it. If you have IPv6 then double-check the router settings. It may need to be switched on. If you do not know how to do this, then you will need to check how either on your router manufacturer's website or the manual it came with.

I saw your message while browsing for answers and I wanted to ask about IPv6 and im not sure how to enable it on my router and i called my internet provider about IPv6 and they said I do have it but they cannot enable it from their side and that I need to contact an internet expert outside of the company. I can see the IPv6 tab on my internet settings but I do not know what to press to enable it. does switching Address/Prefix Assignment Mode: from SLAAC to DHCv6 enables the IPv6 on my router ? or enabling the ULA mode ? thanks for your time to read my message.

Hello John, sorry to hear you're having trouble with your connection.

Once you turn on IPv6 in your modem/router it should automatically connect on your console. If you have turned it on and it's not connecting then that suggest your service provider may not support it or the plan you have doesn't. I'd recommend getting in touch with them for more help.

if your isp supports it and your router has been configured for ipv4 and ipv6 then the xbox would auto setup for ipv6. it is not important and ipv4 will work just fine.
