How do I stop UWP from stoping my game from running in the background when I change tabs

Yeah, what you're saying with alt tab to take you out of the game to the browser you have open is what used to happen with all my games and still does happen with a few of them. It's not that that doesn't happen, it's that the game is still very much not
minimised in the background when it used to do that on an alt tab.

Just to clarify - if you alt tab out of a full screen game to a window that's
not covering your entire wallpaper (i.e not maximised), is the game minimised? Or is the game still visually running in the background for you, blocking your view of the wallpaper?

I have somewhat worked around it by launching all my games on a second virtual desktop, I just didn't know if there was a setting somewhere I've accidentally changed that caused it to start doing this.

No, the game should not stop loading. However, I have experienced this when I left the app running in the background and didn't actually close it. Are you minimizing the game or leaving it to run in the background?

Thank you for trying to help however when i click on my xbox profile, it just brings up a new tab of beta.support.xbox.com, which it should not be doing. How do i stop it from automatically redirecting me here?

Yes, some resourse monitor would be useful.

I'm very suspicious to background stuff like music while running a game. When online I get stuttering in some games, and never when I play offline. X1 is not up to more than games in many cases. If I had problem like you - I would stop using that.

Background stuff is not that well made, as I see it. When going into games&apps - and shift tabs on the left, you quite often have to wait a second or so for one tab to finish loading until you get to next one. That is very simple programming in my view
- not leaving online task readings in separate thread asyncronously to what you do in GUI - very poor style.
