    How do i stop a game from auto installing even with auto updates switched off?


    I'll try to keep it short but i uninstalled Ark: survival evolved because i'm running low on storage but it keeps reinstalling on a daily basis which i then have to delete again and it's the only game that keeps doing it and to make matters worse it tries
    to install a 30gb update which keeps stopping half way through installation and i even turned off auto update and it still keeps doing it.

    I've restarted the console and i've even tried a factory reset but keeping my games and it stops for about a week but starts up again and i just don't know what to do besides take an hammer to it out of frustration which you can imagine i don't wanna do.

    I've also tried installing it on a flash drive but when i do that the update just keeps stopping and says there's not enough storage.

    I already own it i just hadn't played it in over a year hence why i uninstalled it and i turned background downloads off and keep my console upto date automatically. If something even mentioned download i turned it off. Which in the long term has made installs of updates and games slow.

    A game will start installing regardless if auto updates were enabled. You just have to go stop it, or don’t buy the game till you’re ready

    The auto updates setting being turned off, only stops it from automatically downloading updates. But when it is necessary for the update to install, then the console will interrupt your gaming and ask you to download the update. If you don't then you cannot

    Having the same issue too. notice that sometimes when some update stop installing, it picks random games and start downloading without my knowledge. if that problem keep going Im going to switch to manual update instead of auto updates.
