How do I share games and in game content across several consoles in my house?

Ohh, that is because DLC can not be shared. Only games and suscriptions

But I have two separate consoles. I bought a copy of one dlc for destiny 2. I log in on my home Xbox and my wife logs in on our other Xbox and it won’t let her play the dlc for the game because it says she hasn’t bought it, even though my account is on both systems.

No, you can share with one extra console with the "home xbox" feature

How it works:

When you first install a digital game on your home Xbox, your console retrieves a license from the Xbox network to play it. The digital game license is tied to your home Xbox and never expires unless you change your home Xbox. This gives you access to your digital games whether you’re online or offline.

Friends and family that sign in to your home Xbox have access too, even when you’re not signed in. For instance, a family member can play your games when you’re not using your console—they just need to sign in with their Xbox profile.

To set a console as your home xbox:

Press the Xbox button  on your controller to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Personalization, and then select My home Xbox.

To make this your home Xbox, select Make this my home Xbox.

To remove this console as your home Xbox, select Make this my home Xbox and then Remove this as my home Xbox.

When you switch your home Xbox, your shared licenses will no longer be available to others playing on your old home console. You'll need to be signed in online to your old Xbox console to allow them to play your games and apps (when you’re not on your new home console). Your ability to play games while offline will also shift to your new home console. Redownloading or launching any games on the new home console will register the license to that console allowing for offline use.

You can switch your home Xbox up to five times in any one-year period. If you reach your limit for the year, we’ll show you the next available date you can change it.

I would like to add something,

the Home console feature is meant for your primary console and more then like most 'sharing' actions have done it via ways that are against the Code of Conduct

For example the following things are against the Code of Conduct

- Transferring licenses to your console from an account that you didn’t create

- Sharing account credentials

- Using any sort of “shared” account to avoid having to pay for games or content

So sharing games across a console via the Home console setting itself isn't 'illegal' several ways how sharing is done is, and can be considered Marketplace theft

@Bird125... And how would that work across multiple consoles within the same home? Several Consoles & Kids in the house here... Constantly swapping around between us all....
