How do I share a game with my Xbox family if I’m not the primary account?

I am in an Xbox family, and I am not the primary account holder. I normally get new games shared to me from the primary account holder, but this time I accidentally downloaded the game first on my account. Now the primary account holder cannot acces the game and no one else in my family can either, because I used the code in the Xbox game store to download the game to my account instead of the primary account. Is there anyway I can share this game with the rest of my Xbox family despite not being the primary account, or would becoming the primary account give others in my family access to my new game? If the answer to that last question is yes, how would I go about becoming the primary account and then swapping back to not being the primary account. Basically, I need to share a game with primary account in my Xbox family, and I don’t know what to do.

You can share your games with your family even if you're not the primary account or organizer account of your Family Group. Also, sharing games don't have to do with Family Group, we can only share our games through the Home Xbox feature so if you want to share your game, you need to set your account as Home Xbox by following the steps below.

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Personalization, and then select My home Xbox.

3. Select Make this my home Xbox.

Hey i’m having a problem with game share. I have my brothers account game shared to my xbox i get the games but i’m not getting the xbox gold membership? I don’t know whats wrong or what to do

1: Have each others xboxes set as home

2: both you and him have each other as family on your accounts

3: have him check to make sure gold sharing is enabled on his xbox

these will ensure that you both gameshare and goldshare.

I am not using xbox , I’m just playing on windows 10, what I meant is share games to my family and play it together. Example using 2 family accounts and play at 2 pc

The way the family sharing works is the profiles that are on the "Home" Xbox are able to access all of the features and games available that the primary account purchases without the primary account being logged in. The Primary account can then Log
into a different Xbox and still have the same features and access to the Games.

The Secondary accounts are not allowed to access the live features or digital games when they are not on the home Xbox, Unless the Primary is logged in with them to the same one.

Because of this limitation you are only able to share between two Xbox ones at a time.
