How do I set up an ipv6 tunnel?

The UK is only just started rolling out IPv6 in a few areas I think is BT and Sky are the only ISP to do so currently.

IPv6 is good if your running Multiple console in a single home since each console gets is own IP address and not an Internal Address

You wont be able to use ipv6 because Virgin media do not support it yet. Setting up a tunnel wont make any difference.

Do you know if you ISP supports IPv6? Your router could be tunneling your IPv4 connection to an IPv6 which basically means it is sending IPv6 packets through an IPv4 connection to communicate with IPv6 servers. I found out myself the xbox doesn't
like this at all. My ISP doesnt support IPv6. When I would look at my connection on my xbox it would say IPv4 and IPv6. So O went into my router settings and sure enough my router was set to tunnel IPv4 to IPv6. I went through set to IPv4 only and it solved
my problem. This causes a teredo error in your xbox.

I'm not sure. How can I check if my router is tunneling it through Ipv4?

Check IPv6 settings on your router

You will need to check your router’s confutation UI for an IPv6 settings page, and then look for the following options:

Allow Teredo tunnelling

Allow IPv6 tunnelling

IPv6 depends on your Internet Provider and your router being able to provide IPv6 in your network.

Your PC can be set up to use tunneling techniques to use IPv6 through IPv4 tunneling, and the Xbox does this as well.

Most networking stuff in regards to multiplayer and party chat supposedly run via IPv6, and if IPv6 isn't natively available, Teredo is used to tunnel IPv6 through IPv4.

So please ask your ISP if they natively provide IPv6 (ideally in a dual stack configuration with IPv4 in parallel), and check the documentation of your router if it supports IPv6 as well.
