How do I see which email address/microsoft account my daughter is using to play minecraft...

My daughter plays Minecraft under her brother's email address.

My son plays Minecraft under my email address.

Both children want to use their own email address without losing their profiles.

I don't understand how adding an alias will work. I don't want to delete my Microsoft account. I want to change the email associated with Minecraft only.

With regards to the account she is using in Minecraft, if you somehow have saved the email address on her device there might still be a way to find it there.

Try to open Minecraft on her device first, if her account was still logged in try going to Settings > Scroll down below and click "Account" from there choose "Manage account" it should then open a website showing the email address being used in the game and it will ask you to verify the account in order to access.

This works for me when I try accessing my account in game to check email. Let us know here if it works for you but please don't provide any personal information here in the community for security and privacy purposes.

Honestly i dont think there is any easy way to do that other than logging into every Microsoft account you own and seeing which one has Minecraft on it.

The Investigate charges feature was useful - I can see that all the Minecraft related charges for my Son's Minecraft account are indeed associated to what looks like my Grandfather's old AOL email address. (shows as dr...e(5)@aol.com)

This is surprising given that my Son logs into Minecraft using his own account with his own email address, not the aol.com email of my Grandfather, I assume this is something to do with him using his Great-Grandfather's PC. Still at no point during the transactions was it made clear that these purchases were on a different Microsoft account to that which is being used for Minecraft.

Unfortunately I don't have access to my Grandfather's email account - I can try to recover his Microsoft account with the link provided, but frankly my understanding of data privacy laws suggest that it probably should be illegal for me to do so.

I should note that I don't necessarily want a refund, the purchases were legitimate.

My son just started a new Minecraft Realms Plus subscription which we discussed and he does want. But he also no longer wants the Minecraft Marketplace Content subscription which he has had for a while.

I would also want to fix it so that all future purchases to be associated with his own Microsoft Account (or failing that to my Microsoft account).

Is my only choice here to go to the bank? how do I fix this for future purchases?

To change the email address on an Xbox profile, you will have to change the email address on the Microsoft account (which is associated with the Xbox profile).
