How do I retrieve deleted local save files?

Thank you, I will try this and let you know tomorrow how it goes. I have been connected to the internet while playing and saving for sure. After deleting the save games I logged back in and it took a long time to sync but was so upset that the most recent save was from back in November 22 so much progress lost!

If I may ask, were you able to connect to the internet every time you play the game Skyrim?

If the answer is yes, kindly try to remove your Xbox account > restart the console > re-add your Xbox account > check and re-sync your profile to the cloud one more time.

Try to go to a different console if possible (e.g. visiting a friend or neighbor with a Xbox One), and sign in with your account. If the game downloads your save game intact, you can recover it.

If the console hasn't deleted the game from the cloud yet, please remove your Microsoft account from your console > restart your console > re-add your Microsoft account > then check to see if it works here's how to remove your account:

1.Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.

2.Select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Remove accounts.

3.Select the account that you want to remove, and then select Remove to confirm.

> then restart your console and proceed with the next steps. You've got nothing to worry as this will not delete your saved data progress. Then re-add your account and you can go to My Games and Apps, move to the game tile, and press the Menu button.

Choose to manage the game, and there delete the local save game copy.

If you then start the game, it'll download the save state from the cloud, similar to when you visited your friend/neighbor.

If the save game however is gone in the cloud as well or it syncs with the old saved data that you had, then it is no longer possible to retrieve it.

I would highly recommend having your console connected to the internet/ Xbox Live to make sure your games will be saved to Local and Cloud as well.

Try a soft reset of the console for the missing save try disconect from the internet and check the local save if not delete the local save and try retrieve the cloud one

This question "applies to PC gaming", so I assume you're asking about the PC version of Forza.

If your game save is corrupted, perhaps you can try and retrieve an old save backup from the cloud. To do it, open your PC's settings, go to apps, search for Forza Horizon 4, select "advanced options", and then click on "Reset". This will clear your local
saved data without deleting your game. Next time you start the game, it will retrieve the last save file updated to the cloud.
