    How do I resolve the error message with COD MW ‘not installed’ when I switch profiles.


    I have downloaded COD MW on my Xbox S and it works fine under my profile. However if I switch profiles to my son he is unable to play and the message is against each add on is ‘not installed’. I can’t find a way to resolve this so my son can play under his profile.

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

    It seems to be a DirectX error. Generally, the DirectX components of Windows don’t usually have problems, and it’s usually caused by the graphics card driver. You can try to refer to this article from Intel to completely uninstall your graphics card driver and reinstall it (you can use Advanced Search to try several driver versions). At the same time, I suggest you contact EA for further assistance.

    Modern Warfare causing Xbox One X crashing

    I too am experiencing an issue where my Xbox One X will randomly start slowing down then shutting off when playing CoD MW. I never had this issue before installing/playing this game as I've had the Xbox One X for almost a year now.

    Is MS taking this seriously or do we have to wait until the Xbox is unusable for them to look into what's causing it or is this something that CoD MW has introduced?

    I bought a hard copy today. I already had downloaded Warzone and when the MW disc is put in the xbox, Warzone opens when you click on the icon for the MW disc.

    No install information for MW, I have uninstalled Warzone and attempting to install MW from the hard disc.

    Why wouldn't MW install if warzone was already installed? Why didnt the disc trigger the install and updates?
