How do I require password to be entered for profile switching?

I recently added a new account to our XBOX for our children to use. The intent is to not allow them access to the games with more mature themes/etc. When I sign them onto the xbox, they don't seem to have access to ANY of the games unless my profile
is also signed in. Unfortunately, when my profile is signed in, they can switch to it without needing to enter a password, which really defeats the whole purpose. How do I require password entry when switching profiles to my profile that's already logged
in?

I am assuming you have a Parent Account and then Child Accounts for your kids. You can then adjust the content level of what you want them to play on the website and also restrict time of day and how long per day they can play. For example, I have my kids
setup to Teen and below games and they cannot play before 8am in the morning or after their bedtime at night. This ensures that I am awake and know what is going on in the house. I have Mature games installed that I play when I sign in but they don't have
access to them.

Sign in to the Xbox, go to Settings --> Account --> Sign-in, security & passkey.

Set it up to "Ass for my passkey" for the Sign-in & security preferences. Create a passkey, it is shorter than a password and just uses controller combinations for login.

Then make sure that "Instant sign-in" is set to Nobody.

Then make sure "This controller signs in" is set to Nobody.

These options should make it so the system opens up and someone will have to sign in to play games. The kids accounts you can set them so a password and passkey is not needed.

I would also go into System --> Signed-out content restrictions

Set "Access to content" as Restricted

Set "Let people download & make new accounts" to unchecked.

This will limit what can be done without signing into with an account and will not let the kids "make a new account" and get around your parental controls.

you'll need to customize both accounts to where your parent account is passworded and requires the password every time you sign in and the child account to be customized for a certain age group. I did it for mine. Account settings > parental controls then
customize.

Thank you for reaching out. The first thing you want to do is what our great ambassadors mentioned and setup your Home Console. Afterwards, you can add a password or passkey to your main account to prevent your children form accessing it. Simply login to
your profile and head on over to your Settings followed by "Account." There will be an option to change your "sign in and security preferences" from here you can set it to ask for a password or a passkey (button combination) in order to sign in. Hope this
