How do I remove my Xbox Live account from my Xbox Profile?

So, I have an Xbox 360, I plan to get a series X soon. On my Xbox 360, I have an old profile which has tons of game data, but, the profile is connected to an Xbox live account. The Xbox live account has a old gamertag, and an old inaccessible email. I want to disconnect the Xbox profile from the account, and connect the profile to a new account. But, everytime I try nothing works.

Might anyone know how it is possible to remove (Detatch) my Xbox 360 Live account (which was never paid for) from my microsoft account? Oh, and I am prevented and cannot choose to click or open the green boxes labeled "account" or "privacy" from my xbox

I have done all the steps suggested from you, the last one how can i do it? for "removing" do you mean to delete my profile?

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

Just a friendly reminder though that there is no option to remove an Xbox Live account on a Microsoft account, you can manage it but you will not be able to remove it.

In managing the account, you need to be signed in under the Microsoft account to which the profile is linked.

In your case, the best option will be to recover the Microsoft account where your profile is linked in that way you can use it on your new Xbox Series X.

You don't need access to an old email you just have to go thru the account recovery form goto outlook.com and click forgot password and more options

Keep.in mind it has strict standards you must know a lot of info the account holder must know like approx age of the account

Og console id the account was created on

Achievement dates ip.addresses and even friends lists and isp history

Having no access to the email doesn't affect your account recovery it just makes it harder due to privacy laws
