How do I remove a stuck payment method from my Microsoft Account?

Thanks for your reply. The thing is I have a payment method linked to microsoft 365 which cannot be removed. The payment method was removed from the xbox but the payment was still able to be made. My son does not have access to my cards or paypal account. The payment method was removed from xbox yet purchases were still able to be made.

That's how:
1. In a browser go to the My Account page.
2. If necessary, log in to the Microsoft account you want to change.
3. Select Payment and Billing and then Payment Methods.
4. Select the mode you want to delete and then follow the instructions to remove the payment method.

Go to Payment & Billing and select Payment Options.

You can add or edit payment methods from here.
