    Hello, i hope whoever is reading this is having a nice day.

    I am writing this because i have recently gotten interested in playing Minecraft again so I downloaded the Minecraft launcher on my computer which is running on windows. After installing, it prompt me to login to a Microsoft account like anyone would, i entered the email associated with the Minecraft that i have bought on that email. Weirdly enough it said that the account/email doesn’t exist anymore and that i have to make a new one but how come? I have bought the Minecraft on that very same email. I looked this problem up and found many sources saying that the account got permanently deleted because it was deactivated for 60 days, i haven’t got any email warning me about this manner and i am very disappointed. This is actually ironic as that same email that doesn’t exist anymore has the receipt for Minecraft on it detailing the date that i have bought it and even the card that i have used. May someone please inform me on what to do next as i am really keen to play Minecraft again.

    I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble retrieving your Microsoft account because you don't remember quite well the email.

    As you don’t recall it, you may want to try recovering your account by submitting the account recovery form but using instead a previously linked phone number or previously created Skype username (is not the same as our gamertag)

    Hi. Whenever I try and use one of the account recovery methods, it doesnt work. When I try and sign into microsoft account recovery with my email it says that the email doesnt exist. However, I know the account exists as I bought minecraft with it. Is there anything I can do about this or is my minecraft and microsoft account lost forever?

    Hello Sufyaan, what you want to do is change Alias, for any change in the account including changing the email you need to have access to it.

    I don't know why or how you lost access to the account, but if you want to change the Alias you will have to regain access to your Microsoft account.
