    One of my friends sent me a code for resident evil 2 that they bought but when i tried to redeem it the code wouldn’t work. was it because he lives in a different country?

    You cannot redeem the code/gift since it is from a from a different country/region. Your friend can try to contact support for a refund.

    Depending on the offer terms, the Minecraft game could have been linked to your Microsoft account after you redeemed the code. Can you search on the link I sent you above if the game was redeemed on your account?
