    My friend bought me somthing and gifted it but i cant redeem it cause xbox is stupid

    Hi Jackson,

    You cannot redeem the code/gift since it is from a from a different country/region. Your friend can try to contact support for a refund.

    I understand that. What I am saying is that the code was sent from (I assume) Microsoft, and I never had input in the region, so what do I do with the code now. Keep in mind, I have no intention of changing my region just to redeem a code that was sent for
    the wrong region for some reason.

    Are you in the same region the code was sent from?
    "I cannot find anything else like it on the forums except for one forum page that said it was region locked. However at the bottom of the page it says to redeem it within the United States (which I have been doing)",
    I talked about the region here. I did make sure to check the region it was sent from and it does say to redeem it in the U.S.

    how do you redeem the code from my friend that live in different region.
    You cant. Your friend will have to request a refund for the code and purchase a code for you that is meant for your region.
