How do I recover my Xbox account when the Microsoft account was deleted?

I logged into my Xbox in the first time in several years and it is prompting me to sign into my Microsoft account that I deleted many years ago. I have the username and there are a few games on that account, and I know what the email address is, how do I recover my xbox account and attach it to an active Microsoft account?

As stated the Microsoft account IS the Xbox account and vice versa so if you deleted the Microsoft account associated with your Xbox account then you essentially deleted your Xbox account along with it.

Unfortunately this is not possible, the Xbox account and the Microsoft account are essentially the same, if it was terminated due to inactivity you will no longer be able to sign in to the Xbox account.

Thanks but I have tried these before and am not able to because the email no longer exists
