How do I recover my username /email associated with my long-time running gamertag?

The only way now is to use the recovery function on live.com, there they will ask you a series of questions, if you still remember the information when you create your account.

it says the following usernames are associated with my username and that username isnt ours how do i remove him

the actual email address associate with my gamertag , the one i use to sign into hotmail and recover my gamertag with is [REMOVED - DO NOT POST EMAIL OR MICROSOFT ACCOUNT]

You may have a different gamertag associated with the email. Do you use any other email address? Maybe try using the forgot username/credentials and entering your email, then see what username they have associated with the email you used. This may happen
when you establish a live account with an auto selected gamertag and rather then changing the gamertag you create a new one. These are my best guesses as I'm unfamiliar with this type of problem.

If it is connected to a zune account you will have to create a new WLID to make a gamertag. It makes you create a zune username which acts like a gamertag. I think you can try recovering with the email and password associated with the zune account. I'm not
really sure if you can do that.
