How do I recover my Hotmail and Microsoft accounts when the email address alias got deleted...

I know the response you received from them, it’s frustrating, but at the moment, Microsoft support isn’t capable of changing account information, providing information or sending password reset links to you.

However, the last resource in terms of account recovery, is submitting the Microsoft account recovery form:

I tried. I talked to Microsoft support. There's nothing they can do. They admit that it's a big problem but can't/won't do anything about it...

I'm sorry to hear you lost access to your Microsoft account after your son removed your alias.
Probably he added a new one, did he doesn’t remember which one he added?

Lastly, and as a reminder, please notice that no one at Microsoft can change account details, or send password reset links to you, this is for security policies.

if your email address is a Microsoft email (@hotmail, @live, @outlook) then you wont be able to remove your account from the Xbox account.

removing Microsoft email accounts from Xbox accounts permanently deletes the email account and you will no longer be able to access it

all you can do is add an alias email address then promote that to be the main email address.

if the email address is a Microsoft email (eg; @Outlook, @Live, @Hotmail) then it is important that you do not remove it from the Xbox account after adding an alias and promoting that to the primary email.

removing a Microsoft email address from an Xbox account permanently deletes the email account and it will no longer be accessible along with anything else that uses that email (eg; Office365)
